Jaynry Mak is an attorney-at-law, licensed to practice in the State of California. Notably, she represents numerous victims in a $39 million ponzi scheme that led to a federal grand jury indictment for the crime. She is the General Counsel for the Chinatown Merchants United Association of San Francisco, representing over 160 small businesses and merchants. She is also the General Counsel for the Sunset Merchants United Association of San Francisco.

In addition to her legal professional life, Jaynry Mak is an active community leader. She is the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC), a nonprofit organization providing programs and services to over 8,000 youth and their families annually. She has held this position for over 20 years and continues to fight to increase awareness and funding for critical programs for youth.

Jaynry Mak is also the President of the Portsmouth Plaza Parking Corporation, a nonprofit public benefit corporation that manages the Portsmouth Square Parking Garage in Chinatown. She has fought to restore and increase the Corporation’s Community Participation Fund to provide grants benefiting non-profit organizations serving our community.

Jaynry Mak is also the past Advisory Board Chair and past President of the San Francisco Women’s Political Committee. Active in the women’s community, she continues to mentor women interested in policy and promotes leadership opportunities for women. Additionally, she served on the NARAL ProChoice America Power-PAC where she focused her efforts to oppose restrictions on abortion and expand access to abortion.Jaynry Mak has held leadership positions in numerous local community organizations, including serving as the past President of the Outer Sunset Merchants & Professionals Association. As a direct result of her dedication, commitment, and service to the community, Jaynry Mak has received numerous awards and recognitions, including but not limited to, San Francisco’s 2024 Women’s History Month Award and Cathay Post #384’s Community Hero Award.
