Hanson Wong, a native of San Francisco, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) since 2019. He also holds a position on the board of the Asian Firefighters Charitable Foundation. Previously, he served on the Foundation Board for Donaldina Cameron House, was part of their Legacy Committee, and was involved with the Young Professional Advisory Council for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.

Since entering the financial services industry in 2000, Mr. Wong has been employed at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Before this role, he worked at a top-tier global multi-strategy hedge fund, and earlier at a mutual fund rated 5-Star by Morningstar. His career also includes managing private equity distributions for the largest US public pension fund, roles in equity research and commercial credit underwriting. Additionally, he took a year to work at a start-up as the director of finance and administration for an online boutique retail company.

Mr. Wong holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
