The Career Awareness Pathways (CAP) program inspires youth to think about their future, their place in the world, and how to shape it the way they want to. CAP offers youth guidance to reach their ambitions by helping them create a roadmap to their future career or college goals.

The program teaches about the A-G requirements for high school graduation, the college application process, college life, and vocational careers. Using CYC’s best practice workforce models as a platform, the CAP program offers a tailored curriculum that assists youth in gaining a better understanding of career and educational pathways that match their interests. Guest speakers from a panel of diverse career professionals, site visits to local corporations and college tours at nearby campuses provide students with early exposure into college options and career possibilities. Youth also receive personal and group support to address any concerns and questions about college and career readiness.
