CYC celebrates community—and the holidays
Each winter, CYC joins with community partners and families to celebrate the season with heartfelt events that bring us closer together and keep spirits bright.
As the days turn colder, CYC partners with the Sheriffs and You Foundation for shopping expeditions to Lucky and Target, where elementary school children pick out holiday toys and underserved families receive groceries to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
To thank our youth for their dedication and hard work, each year we host an annual ice-skating outing just for them. This year’s gathering promises to be extra fun and the perfect way to mark the end of a busy school term and the beginning of winter break.
Looking ahead to the new year, we will welcome the Year of the Snake with several events, including the Bayview Black History Month & Lunar New Year Celebration and the annual San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade.
And… March is just around the corner. Be sure to get your tickets early for the 55th annual CYC gala on March 14, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. We’re getting ready for an evening of incredible memories, celebrating youth leadership and community resilience.
